We invited our wives and kids to join “The Brainpipe Family Singers” and covered this quirkfest by Paco del Stinko, for his Hxaro Lovefest.
I command you to enjoy it.

Bubs,
This is not a new song. I just felt an urge to replace the ‘latest song’ on the front page, so I dove into the archive of unposted material.
This particular song dates back to when I used to call myself CRT and use Reason (the whistling distortion on some of the drums is a dead giveaway). It’s a schizophrenic track — probably not technically good, on the whole — but I think it reflects at least one or two decent ideas.
Enjoy?!
This is a brainpipe songfight entry from back at the start of june. I forgot to post it!
Here’s my entry for Round 3 of Nur Ein 3.
This time the non-optional challenge was “use of choral voices”.
Hope you like it.
The entry for Round 2 of nur ein.
The non-optional challenge was “use of backward recording”.
For Round 1 of Nur Ein 3.. a songfight! sidefight.
Check it out here.
Contest rules obliged this song to have a crescendo.
For Round 0 of this year’s “Nur Ein” .. a songfight side-fight.
The non-optional challenge was to include a significant name-drop of an actor or actress — hence the awkward line about Sylvester Stallone.
Information on past nur ein’s available here.
Hey, remember last summer when I kept talking about how I was recording a Starfinger album?
Well, as of now, I doubt that this will happen any time soon, so I thought I’d say a few words about my idea.
The intention was to do a concept album weaving together the plots of some noteworthy movies. I had lyrics for ‘Andromeda Strain’ and ‘Squirm’.
The only thing I ever got around to recording was a demo for the first half of Squirm. Check it out.
My first RemixFight win! Huzzah.
The source material was the Parker Street Cinema’s instrumental mood-fest Blood Music.
Check out all the remixes here.
UPDATE: this remix has been included on the Parker Street Cinema Blood Music EP. If you came here via that, please say “Hi”.
Also note, the CD track listing is wrong (at least on the initial printing..) My remix is actually track 5, though listed as track 6. Hold on to your copies of this, because I’m sure that misprint will make it valuable one day.
Brainpipe did a cover of the Abominominous song “Take a Pill” for The Phil Redmon Super Secret 30th Birthday Hxaro Lovefest.
