Flip Flops

For your political footwear needs this Fall season:

G.W. & Crew - Flip Flop

The Alexander Tyler quote on the last page knocks me out:

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world’s great civilizations has been two hundred years.

These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.

Apparently this is taken from Tyler’s 1778 work, The Cycle of Democracy.

More on “The Wired President”

This is turning into a bonafide issue. Check out this Salon article, rehosted by cryptome.org:

Bush’s mystery bulge

Induce Act Killed!

This is great news:

Boing Boing: INDUCE Act killed for now! BOO-YAH!

I like to imagine the RIAA lawyers’ heads exploding, a la Scanners.

Boo!

Here’s an entertaining read, to whet your appetite for Halloween:

Is this a ghost?

I’m not cynical enough to think this kind of thing is impossible, but I need more proof than something so Photoshoppable.

Is Kerry Mentally Ill [too]?

As the election draws closer, the hard-hitting reports keep flying in:

Is John Kerry Mentally Ill?

Let’s assume for a moment (and what a stretch this will be) that both Kerry and Bush have serious mental problems. What is the likelihood that two mentally impaired Skull&Bones members would be competing against each other for the Presidency of the United States?

Yeah, the link posted above is goofy. I don’t believe that, but I do believe that something bigger than our government has orchestrated this election, and they can’t lose.

More Kerry Football

I’m not much of a sports fan, but these pictures are great:

Poland!

So, Bush really likes Poland. It’s not really worth picking on him about it, is it?

Yeah, I think it is:

Poland, you are not forgotten!

That’s a relief…

Bush doesn’t have a monopoly on lookin’ like an idiot:

The Seizure Theory

This enticing conspiracy theory could explain why Bush needs the aforementioned help with his public speaking:

Report - Bush Suffered A Past ‘Seizure’

Brain strokes are common in cocaine use…especially long-term abuse and smoking of crack.. The President’s behavior falls well within the medical boundaries of cocaine stroke.

Fascinating.

Is Bush Wired?

Clearly, Bush is at least one sandwich short of a picnic, but is he totally incapable of forming sentences on his own?

Here are a few thoughts on the possibility that Bush’s televised appearances, including the recent Presidential debate, are directed by offscreen handlers secretly feeding him lines: www.isbushwired.com

Some compelling evidence, indeed. But if he really is being surreptitiously micromanaged, where are all these Bushisms coming from?

By the way, check out the trailer for the new Bushisms DVD. It’s entertaining.

What a dork.
